This concert will celebrate the stories and songs of the Afro-American
society that were torn from their homeland and brought to the southern
states to provide cheap labour. This music celebrates a noble people
who persevered through the storms of life. It is said that it is amazing
that out of man’s inhumanity to man should come America’s
greatest art form – the Negro Spiritual.

The reason for the excellence of the choral music of England over
the past 500 years is found in the incredible poetry used from a wealth
of poets and writers such as Shakespeare, Tennyson and many others.
It is also found in the amazing acoustics in the churches and chapels
throughout England. This concert will offer you many of these works
and performed in our London’s own acoustical marvel, the Chapel
at Windermere on the Mount.
If you have
enjoyed past concerts or you are new to LPM, you can treat yourself
and listen to us whenever you want on our CDs.
